Sea Rim State Park Details

Head down to Southeast Texas and stop by this coastal park. It has over 5 miles of shoreline facing the Gulf of Mexico, as well as 4,000 acres of wet marshland. While there are numerous opportunities for kayaking, bird watching, and fishing, swimming is not recommended due to the potentially dangerous alligators that lurk in the wetlands. Over the last few years, the park has been dramatically impacted by hurricanes, which have caused severe damage to the surrounding landscape. It was closed for restoration from 2008 to 2010 and didn't fully open back up to the public until 2014. However, visitors are now free to spend the day exploring the park or spending the night at one of the campsites. More adventurous travelers can opt for a primitive camping experience right on the sandy shores of the ocean. Entrance Fees - Adult: $3 Daily - Child 12 Years and Under: Free Reservations are available [online] (https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/sea-rim-state-park/r/facilityDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200083&_ga=2.189740846.447085507.1618845916-917412064.1616861417) or by calling (512) 389-8900
