Village Creek State Park Details

Nestled on one of the only free-flowing creeks in Texas, this state park is the perfect escape away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here, you explore the depths of the lush forests or relax on the banks of the babbling Village Creek. Although it was officially opened as a state park in 1994, the state has held onto the property since 1979. Since then, it's become a popular spot for camping, hiking, mountain biking, geocaching, and canoeing. The park also has a great ranger program, where you can participate in guided night hikes, stargazing activities, and campfire talks. However, you're more than welcome just to come for the night to soak up the breathtaking views of mother nature.
