The sister park to Bastrop State Park, this 1,000 plus acres park also preserves the "Lost Pines of Texas" - the westernmost stand of loblolly pine trees in the United States. The park is named after Emil and Elizabeth Buescher, who donated more than 600 acres to help establish the park. Visitors can camp, hike, or bike throughout the forest, or fish and paddle on the 30-acre lake.
