As you may have guessed, this state park is known for its impressive grove of budding Rhododendrons. Within this 2,732-acre park, an astounding 16-acres is filled with these fragrant flowers, which are in full bloom from mid-summer until early fall. As you meander down the .6-mile-long viewing trail, you will be surrounded by clusters of pink and white Rhododendron blossoms, as well as bushels of blueberries, cranberries, mayflowers, and heathers. Even if you come outside of the blooming season, you can still enjoy a walk or picnic around the serene landscape and lush growth of the parks other foliage.
