Pisgah State Park Details
New Hampshires largest state park is a sprawling 13,300-acre property of old-growth forest, winding rivers, and dewy ponds. It actually is located in three different towns (Chesterfield, Winchester, and Hinsdale), although it does encompass a complete watershed of the Ashuelot River. In a park this large, you will have no problem finding something to keep you occupied. There are six trails for hiking, cycling, ATV riding, and snowmobiling that lead around the rocky highlands and low-level marshlands. You can also go swimming at one of the seven ponds, although the views from the Pisgah Reservoir and Kilburn Pond are arguably the best.
