Flume Gorge Trail Details
This short but strenuous hike takes you to one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the Franconia Ridge. Here, you will see an 800-foot natural gorge surrounded by trickling waterfalls, budding wildflowers, and canopied tries. There is a wooden boardwalk that leads around the rocks allowing you to see the gorge up close. Besides the gorge, you will also be able to explore glacial boulders, the sentinel pine bridge and pool, and even a wolf den cave. Keep in mind that the majority of this 2-mile loop is rather hilly, with many steps and steep inclines that may be difficult for more inexperienced hikers.
