Beachcroft Trail Details

Beachcroft Trail runs southeast, connecting Champlain Mountain and the western part of the Park. A great alternative to the Precipice (closed spring to mid-summer), the trail is largely open, cutting though deciduous forest and boasting some of the Park's most impressive stone staircases: 1,482 granite steps in all! Steps and switchbacks over open ledge make the rise over the Huguenot Head summit relatively easy, but the trail becomes progressively more difficult as it climbs the rocky northwest slope of Champlain and reveals distinctive views of the Tarn and Dorr Mountain.
