Kurt Diederichs Climb Details

This is a strenuous, wooded trail that runs the most direct and difficult route between the south end of Kane Path and Emery Path. As one of the Park's first truly extensive trails, it was privately financed and designed for the interaction with and enjoyment of nature. Look for a 1915 memorial inscription carved in a granite stair near the trailhead before climbing the extensive stone staircases containing more than 700 steps. The trail climbs sharply, offering good views over open ledges before connecting to trails leading to the Dorr Mountain summit.
