Come cool off in the refreshing waters at this peaceful park near Augusta. It is a little tucked off the main street, and you will need to wander down an indiscrete dirt path to reach it. But once you arrive, you will be delighted at the sight of a 35-foot waterfall that trickles down into a pool of crystal clear water. As you swim, you might notice a towering aqueduct above you. This was built by Italian stonemasons in the 1850s to carry water from the Augusta Canal over Raes Creek. On a sunny day, it is a popular spot for rock climbers as there are belay hooks built along the top of the structure.
