This 1,100-acre nature preserve contains wetlands and woodlands, both of which are prime destinations for spotting different species of native and migratory birds. On most days, you will be able to spot great blue herons, wood ducks, and bald eagles, although rarer species like cave swallows and black-bellied whistling ducks are also present. During the fall migration, egrets can also be found wading in the marshes.
