Augusta Canal Trail

This trail takes you to see the best sights Augusta has to offer. You will venture through neighborhoods and down tree-lined streets until you reach the Savannah River. This is a lovely place to take a break or to have some lunch (although you can also rent kayaks here if you are looking to actually spend time on the water itself). The entire 8-mile trail is well-maintained, although it can be muddy and difficult to ride if you are visiting after heavy rainfall. However, there is a section of trail between the river and the Augusta Canal that is paved and perfectly fine for a wet and rainy journey.
