Elijah Clark State Park Details
Elijah Clark State Park is on the smaller end of the park system at only 447 acres, but it holds a lot of history. Elijah Clark was a war hero during the American Revolution and, as a frontiersman, led a group of pioneers around the area. Today, his reconstructed log cabin sits open to the public and displays tools and other utensils dating as far back as 1780. His wife and daughters graves are also located in the area and are open for viewing along with the cabin during certain times of the year. Because of the parks location on the lake it is a very popular spot for anglers to visit and drop a line. A couple other popular visitor activites here are geocaching and archery.
