Fremont Saddle Details

This moderate to challenging hike a rugged route through the Superstition Mountains. It has a gradual incline (although the last section of the trail is noticeably steeper) with switchbacks that meander through colorful canyons and green foliage. Once you reach the saddle between the two mountains, you will have a clear view of the legendary Weavers Needle rock formation. While it might be tempting to turn around at this point, do yourself a favor and continue up towards the rocks. The view from there is even more spectacular. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a wildlife area. Rattlesnakes are not uncommon, so you must watch where you step or sit.
