Massacre Falls Trail Details

Despite what its name implies, this trail is a gentle 5.5-mile out and back hike through the Superstition Mountains. For the majority of the hike, you will be surrounded by blooming wildflower fields and sharp mountain cliffs which makes for a pleasant view while you walk. You will know you have made it to the end when you hear the mighty roar of the waterfall, Massacre Falls. Although it is only flowing from late fall until early spring, it is a spectacular sight that typically is not part of this dry desert landscape. Soak in the view and turn back around to trek back down the mountain.
