Flatiron Details
Winding along the red rocks of the Superstition Mountains is this steep 5.5-mile hike. To reach the top, you will climb along the Siphon Draw Trail, a vast landscape of uneven plateaus and desert-like vegetation. Be prepared for a lot of scrambling and sliding. There is not any shade or refuge from the heat, so must pack enough water to keep you hydrated the entire way. It is also worth starting as early as possible. Not only will you beat the crowds, but you will also get to see the rocks bathed in the glow of the morning light.
