Copper River Bluffs Trail Details
This short walk is more challenging than the Boreal Forest Trail and covers more interesting terrain; it swings out to the Copper River Bluffs with some sections of steep grade. To access the trail, you can hike in either direction on the Boreal Forest Trail, then take the turnoff for the Copper River Bluffs Trail. The scenic overlook above the river is on a short spur. After stopping for photos of this mighty glacial river, continue following the Copper River Bluff Trail to loop around and back to the Boreal Forest Trail. The Copper River Bluff Trail is 0.5 miles but if you do both loops, the total is 1 mile (although part of the Boreal Forest Trail is paved).
