Wrangell Institute for Science and Environment Details
The Wrangell Institute for Science & Environment, or WISE, supports scientific and educational opportunities in Copper Basin. This non-profit, founded in 2002, has paid and volunteer interpreters in the national park to help educate visitors and local citizens. WISE organizes local events such as Ice Fishing Day and Earth Discovery Day to help educate the local communities of the region's ecology and also implements summer science camps for local students.
