Rundle Riverside Details
This rocky, rough, roller coaster of a trail links Banff and Canmore, and both intermediate and advanced riders all get a kick from all of the challenges it presents. From Banff, the first eight kilometers are rooted single track trail, which then gives way to six kilometers of double track into Canmore; it's the reverse heading back to Banff, of course. If you choose to ride the Rundle Riverside trail, come prepared: full suspension is recommended, and you'll want to have a repair kit with you, as the trail is remote and help is more than a phone call away. Trail guides and cycling maps are available, and be sure to follow the park's rules and regulations to make the most of your ride: be bear aware; ride on designated trails; avoid riding during extreme conditions; help preserve the trails' quality; know your limits; yield to other riders; and, of course, leave no trace. **Trail Type**: Out and Back **Difficulty:** Difficult **Distance:** 27.8 kilometers round trip (17.3 miles) **Trailhead:** Banff Golf Course Road (kiosk at far end) **Connector:** Canmore Nordic Center, Spray River and Goat Creek, Golf Course Drive
