Situated on a portion of a peninsula in the popular and massive 1,300 acres of Megunticook Lake, the Fernald's Neck Trails are accessible off the mainland, but most access them by boat. The preserved land ensures that the forested shores stay untouched so wildlife can thrive in the thick habitat along the water. Three miles of lake access are accessible to visitors and, though camping is not permitted, the 3.6 miles of trails provide for a nice day trip adventure.
