Camden Hills State Park Details
Camden Hills State Park is known as "the spot" for those looking to find breathtaking views of Maine. A popular tourist attraction, a hike to the summit of Mt. Battie offers views of the surrounding landscape, including Penobscot Bay and Camden Harbor. Though a climb on foot, the hike to the top is well worn and surrounded by numerous off-shooting paths for visitors to enjoy year-round, with a few exceptions. Located close to the town of Camden, a day of hiking is often accompanied by a shopping trip or puffin and whale watching experience. Fall time here is a particularly busy season with the well-kept campground and families taking to the road to view the changing colors.
