Cummings Preserve Details
An easy trail for hikers due to its short length of .8 miles, the Cummings Preserve is more popular for those seeking to get out on the water than to hike. Located right on the Presumpscot River, the short trail is mainly forested and opens up to the river access following a historic towpath. Canoes have been put in here for years, and the tradition does not seem to be stopping as fishermen launch their boats at all times throughout the day. For those not wishing to fish, the spot is also popular for swimming.
