Babb's Bridge Details
Babb's Bridge is a covered bridge which spans the Presumpscot River on Hurricane Road, between the towns of Gorham and Windham. Originally built in 1843, it was destroyed by fire in 1973. In 1976, a replica of the 19th-century bridge built. It has a one-span queenpost truss and is 79 feet long. This section of the river is also a popular local swimming hole.
