Hat Shop Trail Details
The Hat Shop Trail gets its name from a group of red hoodoos capped by white stone "hats." The 4-mile, out-and-back trail starts at Bryce Point and connects to the Under-the-Rim Trail. The hike features views of larger rock formations, the Paria River valley, the Kaiparowits Plateau, and the Aquarius Plateau. In addition to the 23-mile Under-the-Rim Trail, the Hat Shop Trail connects to the Peekaboo Trail. The Hat Shop Trail is moderately strenuous; allot five hours to hike it, and be prepared for a long, 1,000-foot uphill climb on the way back.
