This 4-mile trail is located in the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands. The park itself has over 20,000-acres of grasslands and a whopping 400 different lakes and ponds. One of the best ways to explore this sprawling region is by hiking along this trail, where you will be able to visit a few of these bodies of water. On one end of the trail is Black Creek Lake, a popular spot for boaters and campers. On the other is the scenic Cottonwood Lake, a 40-acre reservoir mostly used for fishing.
