The Stephen Frazee House Details
Stephen and Mehitable Frazee were among the original European settlers in the Cuyahoga Valley, arriving in the early 1800s when Ohio represented the western frontier of the United States. At first, the Frazee family lived in a rough log cabin. However, by 1825 they had become prosperous enough to build this Federal style brick home facing River Road and the Ohio & Erie Canal, which opened around the same time. You can tour the interior of the house on weekends from May through October; the grounds, which include the original Frazee family farmland, are open year-round.
