Located in the picturesque Central Maine Highlands, Peaks-Kenny State Park was gifted to the state in 1964 in honor of Francis Peaks' sister and parents. A popular place to come camping, the park boasts of 813 acres filled with 56 campsites along the water's edge and forests. Picnicking, hiking, water sports, and swimming along the mile-long beach are popular here with the most unique feature being Norwood Castle, a truly impressive and surprising structure that was built in 1890 as a wedding gift.
