Bear Brook Picnic Area Details
The Bear Brook Picnic Area in Acadia National Park offers a serene, forested setting for visitors looking to enjoy an outdoor meal surrounded by nature. Located off the Park Loop Road near Sieur de Monts Spring, this picnic area is divided into two sections, each offering picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. The right side features a small parking lot with shaded tables close to the road, while the left side is larger, with multiple smaller parking areas and a greater number of tables and cooking facilities. A modern restroom and water fountain are available for convenience. Though the picnic area is spread out, making large gatherings challenging, a small cluster of tables at the end of the road provides space for group events. However, all tables are first-come, first-served, and groups of 30 or more require a permit. With ample shade and a quiet, natural setting, Bear Brook Picnic Area is a great spot for a peaceful lunch or a relaxing break during a visit to Acadia.
