Unity Temple Details
Designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, this church is considered to be one of his most influential works. It is constructed using one material reinforced concrete and has geometric elements that were extremely experimental at the time. In fact, many people consider it to be the first example of modern architecture. Since it was constructed, it has gone through several restorations after structural problems and water damage were found. A $25 million restorative project fixed any foundational issues and also added decorative elements to improve the look of the church.
