Providence Canyon State Park Details

Affectionately known as the "Little Grand Canyon," this 1,003-acre state park is famous for its colorful, layered rock formations. The rich oranges, reds, and yellows of the 150-foot-deep canyon cliffs are best seen from the rim or from one of the many hiking trails that lead around the park. However, the canyons are not the only notable features to see during your visit. As you stroll along the rim, you will also see several abandoned vehicles from the 1950s scattered around. Instead of removing the cars (which could have potentially damaged the natural environment of the park), officials decided to leave them on the property.
