Quandary Peak Trail Details

Many consider this trail to be the best introductory hike for those interested in scaling the peaks of the 14ers. This 6.6-mile trail is less steep compared to other summits, which means trekkers will not have to worry about acclimating as much to the changing altitude. And it is less rocky, so you will not have to scramble or climb your way to the peak. If you are planning on hiking during May or June, you should consider bringing microspikes or trekking poles to help with the icy conditions. Summer is much more pleasant, especially since you will have a higher chance of spotting mountain goats hopping along the route.
