Lost Lake Details

Colorado has some of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the country, and this one is no exception. It is located near the charming town of Eldora and is completely surrounded by towering aspen groves and the beautiful Indian Peak Mountains. To reach the lake, you will need to embark on a 2-mile trail one way along the banks of Middle Boulder Creek. While the trail starts off relatively flat, it does become quite steep as you navigate the switchbacks approaching the lake. This is a year-round hike although winter trekkers should come prepared with microspikes or snowshoes.
