Sunset View Details

Just over 5 miles west of the Visitor Center is Sunset View, one of the shortest, easiest trails to an overlook on the South Rim. As the name implies, this is a premier spot to take in the sunset, and as it's accessible and parking is plentiful - so many people come here to do just that, park. In evenings, as the light grows golden, it casts a stunning color on the rock walls, bringing out hues of gold, green, red, and even blue, as the interplay of the sunset, clouds, canyon walls, and deep shadows make for a must-see show.
