Dragon Point Details
The overlook at Dragon Point, 4.4 miles west of the Visitor Center on South Rim Road, offers a stomach-churning view of the depths of the canyon. Below you, the river slithers through the canyon floor, and to the east is a view of Painted Wall and the serpentine patterns of light-on-dark rock on the cliff. With a little imagination, you can see the dragon in the rock pattern on Painted Wall. A great place for sunset views, Dragon Point is a must-see.
