High Point Details
High Point is the western terminus of South Rim Road, 6 miles from the Visitor Center. So named because you're at 8,289 feet in elevation here, it's a beautiful spot to picnic or take in the view; it's also the trailhead for the Warner Point Trail, which takes hikers out to another spot where they can observe the canyon. Parking is plentiful here and you can get a great view without getting out of the car (but what's the fun in that?). There are picnic tables available if you want to spend some time here either eating or soaking up the scenery. One look at this place will confirm your suspicions: it's another great spot for sunrise or sunset views.
