Westfall Meadow Details
This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a meadow in Yosemite without many other people, if any at all. The reason for this is likely do to the difficulty finding the trailhead and the seemingly lack of maintenance on the trail itself. The best time to explore this trail is during wildflower season (June thru mid-July). This trail is an excellent option for those camping at Bridalveil Creek Campground, although it may be a bit of a challenge finding it. Located near Loop A is a closed road which take you to a creek after a quarter mile, at which point you head south (if you head north you connect to McGurk Meadow Trail and eventually Dewey Point). Just beyond the meadows you'll find an old logging area which in 1920 was a "battleground" between environmentalist and the Yosemite Lumber Company.
