Dewey Point Details
Standing at 7,385 feet on the south rim of Yosemite Valley, this Peak gives Yosemite visitors commanding views of El Capitan, Cathedral Spire, and Taft Point. In the distance, the Clark and Cathedral ranges, including Echo Peak and Matterhorn Peak, can be seen. During the winter, Dewey Point is a popular snowshoeing destination. It can be reached via the McGuirk Meadow and Pohono Trail, which are relatively flat, but long. It's a 7.8-mile round-trip, so plan accordingly.
