Located in the Fort Apache Reservation, this 10-mile road is a leisurely drive amongst pine and fir forests and desert rock canyons. It starts at Pinetop-Lakeside and winds parallel next to White River to the Mogollon Rim. Here, you will find the communities of Hon-Dah and Whiteriver, both of which are part of the Apache nation. A nice stop at the end of the drive is at the Williams Creek National Fish Hatchery. They are responsible for stocking the nearby rivers and lakes with rainbow and black-spotted trout.
