Herbert Lake Details

Just outside of Lake Louise, this tiny lake is easy to miss, but worth a stop. Though you've essentially just started your trek along the Icefields Parkway, stop just six kilometers (nearly four miles) outside of Lake Louise to discover this tiny lake surrounded by mountains, which oftentimes reflect in the lake's calm waters. Plan to visit in the early morning, when the sun is shining from the east and the tour groups haven't stopped by yet. Make sure you have your camera ready too, as this is a great spot for a sunrise shot.
