This four-mile roundtrip trail offers great views into Redwood Canyon. The moderately strenuous hike climbs to the summit of Big Baldy at 8,209 feet for an elevation gain of 600 feet, alternating between forest and open granite rock areas. The trailhead is at a parking area on Generals Highway eight miles south of Grant Grove.
