Redwood Mountain Grove Details

Stop by Redwood Mountain Grove to discover the largest group of Sequoias on earth. The Grove is home to old growth Sequoias as well as the world's tallest Giant Sequoia, as well as both the Roosevelt Tree, boasting a volume of over 35,000 cubic feet) and the Hart Tree. You can explore the Grove via one of the three hiking trails, Redwood Canyon Trail, Sugar Bowl Trail or the Hart Tree Trail. You'll find all three trailheads at the Redwood Canyon Trailhead of the USFS 14S 75. If you are only in the mood for a short hike, you should take the two-mile trail to the Sugar Bowl from the parking lot. The hike is very easy, but offers great photo opportunities along the ridge, especially in the afternoon sun.
