Blue Ridge National Wildlife Refuge Details

Located in the Sierra Nevada, Blue Ridge National Wildlife Refuge is a wild space dedicated to the California condor. Much of the area consists of coniferous forests full of Ponderosa Pine and Incense Cedar. Western spotted and striped skunks, bobcats, mountain lions, gray fox, and black bears call Blue Ridge home. Some noteworthy birds living in this are the great horned owl, golden eagle, red-tailed hawk, and Cooper's hawk. Blue Ridge is a part of the Hopper Mountain NWR Complex.
