Hinsdale Setbacks Details

Hugging the state border between New Hampshire and Vermont, this birding area along the Connecticut River is relatively unknown. However, it is a prime location for spotting migratory birds that come during the spring and fall. Waterfowl, songbirds and various marsh birds fly over this region and rest in the hidden cattail beds along the river bank. Besides birdwatching, these coves are also ideal for a day of kayaking or canoeing. The majority of the river is quite calm, although more experienced paddlers can venture past the cove to the stronger part of the river.
