Encompassing 9 miles of hillside trails, this network has something for all types of hikers. The 1.2-mile interpretive trail is an easy trek through the forest, with several signs explaining the different vegetation in the area. Or head up the hill to the medieval-aged Retreat Tower for views of the Connecticut River. If you are looking for something more difficult, climb to see the Harris Hill Ski Jump, which is still used for skiing competitions to this day. The trails are looked after by Retreat Farm, a non-profit organization focused on teaching sustainable farming practices.
