Norris Area Details

The Norris Geyser Basin is the main attraction of the Norris area of Yellowstone National Park. The Norris Geyser Museum provides information on the basin's geological features, and a historic cavalry building now houses the Museum of the National Park Ranger. Other major features of this area include Roaring Mountain, the Gibbon River and its Virginia Cascades waterfall, and the Norris Canyon Blowdown, an area of toppled and burned trees.
