Minute Geyser Details
Once erupting 50 feet into the air, this small, bubbling geyser is an unfortunate reminder of the impact that thoughtless human behavior can have on natural phenomenon. The park entrance used to pass close by, and visitors would often throw rocks into the geyser's wide vent. This eventually blocked the eruptions, rendering the main vent useless, blocked with rocks and cemented by mineralization. Today, eruptions are infrequent, and very small when compared to other geysers in the Norris Geyser Basin.
