Departing from Canyon Lodge, the route heads toward the Tower Roosevelt area, with the possibility of continuing toward the near side of Lamar Valley depending on wildlife activity. Your driver guide tracks recent sightings and shares insight into the habits and habitats of the parks iconic animals. While no tour can guarantee wildlife encounters, guests may spot bison, elk, pronghorn, bears, or even wolves as the evening unfolds. The ever changing landscape of high meadows and open valleys makes the journey memorable regardless of what appears. Tours operate by Ford Transit or minibus, depending on availability. For the 2026 season, departures run May 23 to October 10 with varying check in times to match sunset hours. From May 23 to July 31, check in is at 4:15 pm with return at 8:30 pm. From August 1 to 31, check in is at 3:45 pm with return at 8:00 pm. From September 1 to 14, check in is at 3:30 pm with return at 7:45 pm. From September 15 to October 10, check in is at 3:15 pm with return at 7:30 pm. Adult rate is 99.99 dollars and child rate for ages 3 to 11 is 49.99 dollars, with children under 3 free.
