Stony Man Nature Trail Details
From the Stony Man Trailhead (mile 41.7 on Skyline Drive), take the Stony Man Trail/Appalachian Trail north (following blue and white blazes), then follow the loop of the Stony Man Trail (blue blazes) for an easy climb to the park's second-highest point (4,011 ft). Soak up the views of the Shenandoah Valley, the town of Luray, and the Massanutten and Allegheny Mountains beyond. When you're done relaxing, continue around the loop made by the Stony Man Trail until you reach the Appalachian Trail once again, then retrace your steps back to your starting point. Pets are not allowed on this trail.
