A short and easy 30-minute trek along this trail is all you need to see a diverse variety of plant life, including the tropical dwarf palmetto (after which the park was named). This interpretive trail is just over ¼ of a mile, although you’ll see dozens of trees, shrubs, and wildlife habits along the way. The informational panels make it easy to understand the history of the park, as well as to identify the different foliage in front of you.
