Lake Livingston State Park Details
Perched on the edge of Piney Woods is this quiet 600-acre park. The most notable attraction is Lake Livingston (which also happens to be the second-largest lake in Texas), which makes it a prime destination for water sports and activities. The lake is a tributary of the Trinity River, which supplies water for many eastern cities, including Houston. Since its opening day in 1977, the park has expanded to provide numerous modern amenities, including premium campsites, equipment rental shops, and picnic facilities. Swimming is possible on warmer days, although boating and fishing remain popular activities thanks to the width and depth of the lake. Bring your boat (or rent a kayak or paddleboard from the shop) and explore the many nooks and crannies around this 83,000-acre lake. Entrance Fees - Adult : $5 Daily - Child 12 Years and Under: Free Reservations are available [online] (https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/lake-livingston-state-park/r/facilityDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200077&_ga=2.194008232.447085507.1618845916-917412064.1616861417) or by calling (512) 389-8900
