The Guadalupe River runs through the northern part of the park and is the perfect setting for a day of swimming, fishing, tubing, and canoeing. During the weekend, the park becomes a popular hangout for locals and visitors, who flock to the river for a day of swim and sun. There are also 13 miles of hiking and cycling trails. The short but scenic Mile River Overlook Trail is a must-do, as it has sweeping views over the river from a viewpoint. To make the most of your time in the park, you can also choose to spend the night at one of the 90 different campsites. Don't worry if you didn't bring your tent - the on-site rental shop provides camping equipment for your stay.
